Coverage must match film build
Epoxy yield depends on solids content, specified wet or dry film thickness, substrate profile, porosity, primer, broadcast aggregate, and the number of coats. Use the technical data sheet coverage for the exact system and coat. A countertop flood coat and a thin floor sealer should not share one coverage assumption simply because both use epoxy.

Surface profile, porosity, cracks, temperature, broadcast media, squeegee technique, and specified mil thickness affect epoxy consumption.
